Timeline 1940s

The return of peace—and prosperity

Prosperity arrived following World War II, and with it came record demand for industrial and consumer goods. New businesses and brands proliferated. Television offered a means of reaching millions of consumers with a single message. Building on its strength in industrial design, Lippincott helped pioneer the field of package design and brand identity. Many of its early efforts in these areas still fill blue chip positions in their companies’ portfolios.
